Science

I joined the Center for Molecular Neurology VIB-UAntwerp in 2018 and aim to help elucidate the genetic etiology of Alzheimer's disease (AD). In order to do so I want to identify gene expression signatures of functional connectivity and cognitive decline by studying brain of deceased patients and control individuals with a combined genomics and transcriptomics approach.  Moreover, I'm also working on an in-depth characterization of ABCA7s transcriptome profile and splice isoforms, using RNA sequencing, long-read nanopore sequencing and western blot.
