I am a Postdoctoral researcher and bioinformatician at the Center for Molecular Neurology, University of Antwerp & VIB. My research focuses on the analysis of long-read sequencing data with the aim of identifying variants relevant to neurodegenerative diseases, and mainly structural variants and repeat expansions.
I have developed the NanoPack software suite for the visualization and processing of long read sequencing datasets, the pathSTR web tool for the analysis of pathogenic tandem repeats in large long-read sequencing cohorts and STRdust, a tandem repeat genotyper for long-read sequencing.
